Water Treatment Plant Tours

In honor of national Drinking Water Week, which runs from May 4, 2025 – May 10, 2025, Manitowoc Public Utilities (MPU) is opening the Water Treatment Plant for public tours. On Wednesday, May 7^th, tours will run every 15-minutes between the hours of 4:00PM and 5:30PM. There is no need to register for a tour, just come to the Plant at 1323 South 7th Street between that timeframe. We’ll be handing out a flyer that explains the treatment process, guests will receive a branded water bottle (while supplies lasts), cookies will be available, and you’ll get a behind-the-scenes peek at the treatment process behind your quality drinking water!
