Main Office
MPU accepts payments at our Main Office in the form of cash, check, money order, and debit /credit card. Two kiosks are provided in the lobby for debit and credit card transactions; card payments cannot be accepted by the receptionist. A service fee for debit / credit card transactions will apply. Online Payments
Credit/debit card and checking account one-time payments are available via our customer portal. Venmo, Walmart Pay, PayPal, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay can also be utilized. All payment options, except for payments via a checking account, are subject to a service fee. Click here to access our customer portal.
Recurring Payments
Recurring payments can be setup via credit/debit card or checking account via our online portal. Your payment will draft on your due date. Payments made via credit/debit card will incur a fee. To setup online recurring payments, please click here.
Easy Pay Plan
Don’t want to setup an online account, but want to be on a recurring payment plan? We’ve got you covered! You can signup for our Easy Pay Plan in our office. Payments will be drafted automatically from your checking or savings account on your due date. To fill out the application, or find out more details, click here.
Budget Payment Plan
MPU’s Budget Payment Plan helps you budget your monthly energy costs by spreading out payments equally over 12 months. This will help manage high winter bills due to electric heat or high summer bills due to air conditioning. While you continue to be billed for the actual amount of electric, water, and sewer consumed, the payment amounts are averaged so you pay a fixed amount each month. Every six months the account is reviewed and the budget amount adjusted to reflect any over or under payments. For more information about this plan, please contact customer service.
Gift Certificates
With a gift certificate from MPU, it is now as easy as 1-2-3 to give someone special an unexpected gift that they will truly appreciate. You can pick up gift certificates in our office at:

We will apply your gift to the recipient’s account and give you a paper copy for them to open.
Pay by Phone
MPU customers have the option to pay by phone with a credit/debit card or e-check. You can also check account balances via this phone line. To access the system, call toll free 1-877-653-0380. You will be asked for your 6-digit customer number and 6-digit account number as it appears on your bill. The system will tell you your account status, and give you the option to pay by phone with a debit card, credit card or bank check. Please note that a fee will apply to each debit/credit card payment made. There is no fee to pay by e-check.
Pay by Mail
A return envelope is sent with your bill. Simply include your bill payment and stub with your check or money order and send it back to us. If you no longer have your return envelope, send your payment to:
