Manitowoc Public Utilities (MPU) honored former Commissioner, Mark Seidl, at a recent MPU Commission meeting for his 25 years of service on the MPU Commission. Seidl has been a vital member of the Commission contributing to the vision and direction of MPU for many years. Commission President, Dave Diedrich, said “Mark played a role in many of the major undertakings at MPU, including: selling water to the Central Brown County Water Authority, the development of Great Lakes Utilities, and many other projects that helped improve the quality of life for the rate payers of Manitowoc. He always made sure we have safe and reliable services at affordable rates. He was a valuable member of the Commission and his input will be missed.”

While the Commission honored Seidl, they also welcomed new Commissioner, Betsy Roberts. Roberts is a Director, Center of Malting Excellence, at Briess Industries, Inc., where she leads aspects of malting performance and process optimization, recipe management, sustainability, and malting continuous improvement initiatives. Roberts’ fellow commissioners, and the MPU leadership team, look forward to working together on the future strategic vision, growth, and evolution of MPU.
